Question 1

How do I book an appointment?

Accepted Answer

Use the Book an Appointment form. Choose a service, describe the issue, pick a preferred date and time, and add your contact details. You'll get a reference number right away, and our team will contact you to confirm.

Question 2

Is my appointment confirmed when I submit the form?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. Submitting sends a request. Our team reviews it and contacts you to confirm the time and details.

Question 3

Can I fix a broken spring myself?

Accepted Answer

Please don't. Torsion and extension springs — and the cables connected to them — are under extreme tension and can cause serious injury. Leave the door closed if possible, keep people clear, and book a professional repair.

Question 4

My door goes down then reverses. What's wrong?

Accepted Answer

Often it's the safety sensors near the floor. Make sure they face each other, the lenses are clean, and nothing is blocking the path. If the problem continues, book an opener repair.

Question 5

The opener runs but the door doesn't move.

Accepted Answer

This can mean a broken spring, a disconnected trolley, or a stripped opener gear. Don't keep running the opener — book a service visit.

Question 6

Do you work on commercial doors?

Accepted Answer

Yes — choose "Commercial" in the booking form and describe your door. Our team will follow up about your specific needs.

Question 7

What if it's an emergency?

Accepted Answer

Check the "urgent / emergency" box when booking so your request is flagged for priority review. If anyone is injured or in danger, call emergency services.

Question 8

Which appointment windows can I request?

Accepted Answer

Morning 8–12, Afternoon 12–4, or Evening 4–7. No Saturdays. Fridays offer Morning 8–12 or Early afternoon 12–2. Our office will call or text to confirm; your request does not guarantee an appointment time.

Question 9

How often should my garage door be serviced?

Accepted Answer

Many homeowners schedule a tune-up about once a year. Regular maintenance helps catch worn parts before they fail.

Question 10

Is my information kept private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your request is stored securely and is only visible to the Go Garage Door team. We use it solely to handle your service request.
